Owning a new website or blog is a thrilling experience but the issue is you're new and there is literally zero linkage to your website. By waiting for Google Bot to 'crawl' and discover your website, it might take ages or sometimes never because it's not popular (with very low page views) or considered as not relevant (due to lack of links to your website).
Previously, there is a submit URL to Google so that it'll speed up the process. Google has since then upgraded it to Google Search Console where it'll act like an 'one stop centre' for your website.
I am going to give you a simple guide on how to Submit Sitemap to enhance SEO and Google 'Crawling'
1. Go to Google Search Console and type in your URL
2. On the left panel, look for Sitemaps
3. Type out the sitemap location (i.e. for Blogspot it's http://your-domain.blogspot.com/sitemap.xml, replace your-domain with your own website's domain)
4. Monitor the submitted sitemaps. Sitemaps need to be re-submitted regularly as you have new postings etc so that new links can be tracked by Google.
